The Parish Council is the burial authority for Hartley Wintney and owns and maintains the site adjacent to St Mary's Church on Church Lane as well as maintaining the closed burial ground at Old St Mary's and at All Soul's in Hartfordbridge.
The Parish Council Burial Ground has two sections, one for full interments and another for the interment of cremated remains. The Parish Council is currently working with a local landowner and the Planning Department to extend the current site, to enable adequate capacity for the next 40 years. In addition it is anticipated that a Garden of Remembrance will also be created over the next year for the scattering of ashes.
